Days to go...
A FREE event with something for all the family!
The Old School Centre Orchard Garden, 10.00am to 4.00pm (ish!)
A fun, apple themed event, with something for all ages - so much more than just another 'Apple Day'
A look back to old country crafts... centred around our early 1800's 'Somerset Pattern' apple press which will be in action pressing many tons of apples into fresh juice for you to taste and is free for you to take away (with an invitation to make a donation... please)
Old rural crafts such as wool spinning & weaving, blacksmithing, basket weaving, woodland crafts, clay tile making, pottery, pokerwork, corn-dolly making, etc, demonstrated and displayed.
Local artists and crafts persons demonstarting and showing their wares for sale, plus local producers of honey, cider, herbal remedies with their stands.
Masses of home made appley cakes, pies, jams, chutneys, a fantastic hog-roast, appley soups, tea & coffee means you don't even need to bring a packed lunch. There's loads to take home too!
Add to this some hearty singing of some cider songs (you are invited to join as well!), vintage engines and machinery in action... plus much more... means a brilliant day out for all the family. The best bit..... IT'S FREE!
On-site loos, and parking is only 150yds away.
We are a not-for-profit entity, trying our best to preserve the apple growing & cider making history of this part of Exmoor, and the proceeds from this event all towards that aim.
