Porlock Village will be celebrating the Apple in some way or another each day. Visit the shops, businesses and places of interest to see lots of appley fun.

Keep checking back for updates! Come and visit us to enjoy the humble apple and some Porlock & Somerset history.

Additional pressing demonstrations using the old press are planned around festival day too. Observe the whole process to make juice from the apples & learn about it's historical importance to rural life of yesteryear.

or join in on the route

(which includes the Visitor Centre Orchard & Old Apple Press - Porlock Community Orchard on the Toll Road just up from the Village Hall - and finishing at Dovery Manor Museum Garden)



Please wear stout footwear, bring a torch or lantern, saucepan lids wooden spoons, whistles, clackers or anything to make a noise!


This is a FREE EVENT for all ages.


(Please be aware that there will be loud reports from shotguns as part of the Wassail Ceremonies in the Orchards - a bit like fireworks)
